The All-in-one blackbox with CANbus for advanced car diagnostics


The 4D BLACKBOX CAN is a professionally installed blackbox, designed as per Automotive standards, powered by the vehicle 12V (main battery), that connects directly to the Car's CANbus.

With embedded accelerometer, GPS and 2G module, 4D BLACKBOX  does not need a smartphone to operate. It auto-calibrates and it connects to a remote server via 2G network providing advanced Insurance services. A SIM card and a data connectivity plan are required.

4D BLACKBOX is a modular product, that can be customized with a number of options to best adapt to  Insurance or Car makers, fuel vehicles or electric vehicles, and different price targets.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

The 4D BLACKBOX collects data through the embedded GPS, triaxial accelerometer and gyro, connection to car ingnition, and sends them to a remote server via 2G network using the data format and communication protocol of the AVMAP TELEMATICS ecosystem.

4D TELEMATICS ALGORITHMS are always active throughout the entire life of the device, which means continuous correction and more precision.

4D CRASH DETECTION

We see what others don’t. Starting at 0.6g!


AVMAP 4DTELEMATICS ALGORITHMS detect events with peaks starting from 0.6g, while others only see what happens over 2g, leaving out minor impacts that can cause damages to the vehicle and are critical for insurance and fleet management services.

While most of the other systems require specific installation orientation, with limitation on where to install the device, AVMAP TELEMATICS devices can be installed in any position and orientation. Even if professionally installed, this means it is easier to adopt them for fleets, and different kind of vehicles as they can be positioned in the hood box, console box or glove box.
